Honda Bags the Red Dot 2021 Awards for Jazz and Jazz Crosstar

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda’s three new offerings, the Jazz and Jazz Crosstar models, along with the Forza 750 scooter have been presented with the highly coveted Red Dot Awards 2021. The automaker received the prize under the ‘Product Design’ category, for engineering the highest quality products that excel in brand, product, and communication design.

Talking of the e:HEV winner Honda Jazz, the current generation of the Honda Jazz made its global arrival at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. The debut was later followed by an early 2020 sale in Japan and Europe. Currently, in its fourth generation, the B-segment hatchback seems to have evolved drastically in terms of its styling and engineering.

Talking of its design architecture, the current generation of the Jazz represents a rather soft-cue design to keep up with Honda’s commitment of “the most pleasant partner in customers’ everyday lives”. The cute-looking headlight and the overall design of the hatch stay true to the “friendly feeling” to which the automaker wanted to resonate.

Moving in, the award-winning Jazz highlights an overwhelmingly spacious cabin that is paired with versatile seating arrangements that seem to have been realized through Honda’s M/M concept. This model also treats the buyers with large cargo capacity and sufficient storage to offer outstanding usability and add to the comfort factor.

Meanwhile, Honda’s Forza 750 is another Red Dot awardee that revolves around user-friendly packaging and a seamlessly aggressive powertrain. The mill present in the scooter is able to pull out high power and torque outputs from its 745cc engine mated to a dual-clutch transmission.

Acknowledging their latest achievement, Toshinobu Minami, Chief Operating Officer, Design Center, Honda R&D Co. Ltd., exclaimed: “We have had another successful year, receiving several awards in the Product Design category of the globally-recognized Red Dot design awards.”

Lastly, with Jazz and its latter variant limited to specific regions of the world, we can only wait for the car to flow to our shores.
