Mazda 3 Hatchback Interior & Features
The interior cabin of the Mazda 3 looks very upmarket and feels as if it is a cabin from a luxury sedan from one segment above. The interior cabin is finished in an elegant looking dual-tone black and burgundy theme.
The driver’s cockpit consisting of a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel as well as TFT instrument console combine up to give a classy view ahead. The curved design for the dashboard as well as the minimalist theme for the centre console looks very elegant too, with a neat looking infotainment system tucked within a scooped housing on the upper layer of the dashboard. The centre console at the bottom comes with small and intuitive buttons for automatic climate control.
The Mazda 3 is bestowed with many modern features like dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8.8-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay, and Android Auto, push-button start with keyless entry, cruise control, and electrically adjustable driver’s seat. All these features do make the Mazda 3 quite luxurious on the inside, which only gets better with the ubiquitous amount of space on the inside.
3 Hatchback Exterior
When it comes to sheer visual appeal, the Mazda 3 has been setting new benchmarks in the hatchback territory, thanks to its striking aerodynamic design which makes it a sure shot head turner. The hatchback boasts of a sleek and curvy looking silhouette, which gives the Mazda 3 a sporty character.
The Mazda 3 has got a prominent and widened stance when viewed from the front, with the traditional large familiar Mazda family grille with tapered edges on the sides giving it a sharp fascia. The all-black grille has got its edges which extend towards the lower edges of all-LED headlamps, which here are much thinner than all the headlamps from the rest of its siblings from Mazda.
The Mazda 3 is in its sporty best when viewed from the sides, thanks to the smooth and curvy roofline, along with door-mounted rearview mirrors and round wheel arches. The Mazda 3 has a very wide body design including the C-pillar post the rear door, which might look a bit disproportionate at first, but it surely gives an elongated stance to the hatchback.
The Mazda 3 looks very coupe-like from the rear, with nice design elements like highly raked rear windscreen and a sporty roof spoiler. The boot lid has been given a clean design with rounded and horizontally stretched LED tail lamps. The high loading lip for the boot manages to give a squat stance to the hatchback.
Mazda 3 Hatchback Ride & Handling
The Mazda 3 has got a basic suspension setup of Macpherson struts at the front and torsion beam axle at the rear, which along with taut steering setup makes it a driver’s delight. The additional convenience of Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control Plus technology onboard makes things even better. However, the ride quality is slightly on a stiffer edge.
