The Singapore market is one of the very few automobile places in the world which does get the Toyota Prius+. The MPV version of one of the most successful hybrid vehicles promises a niche product which is a good blend of technology and practicality. The Toyota Prius+ is made available in one standard single variant, which is priced at $126,888, with the colour options of Super White, White Pearl, Silver, Grey, Attitude Black, Blackish Ageha, Dark Red Mica, Dark Sherry Mica and Steel Blonde on offer.

Toyota Prius Plus Interior & Features
The cabin of the Toyota Prius+ also looks very different from what all cars are available right now in the market, and just like the outside design theme, the cabin layout too is subjective in nature.
The four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel looks huge due to its big centre boss design, and the complete focus on the centre console makes the cabin look even bigger. The trapezoidal theme of the centre console looks premium with it housing the touchscreen infotainment system in the middle, with sleek rectangular AC vents above it and automatic climate control panel below it.
There is a fine silver panel beside it laid out in a vertical manner, which also comes with a few controls. The horizontally laid fully digital instrument console looks cool but is not too easy to ride while on the go. The Toyota Prius+ has a seating capacity of seven, with the third row strictly manageable for kids only.
Prius Plus Exterior
Toyota has tried to use the same design theme of the Prius sedan for the Prius+, and as a result, it has come up with such a design that does not look too uniform from every angle. The design might take some time to grow on you, but certainly, it looks unique and gives it a distinctive road presence.
The Toyota Prius+ looks quite sleek when you view it head-on, which is not something one would associate with the word MPV. The sloping front bonnet ends up in a V-shaped slim front grille, which along with the curved and upswept full LED headlamps, do lend it a smiling face.
The headlamps do come integrated with daytime running LEDs in their inner corners, which flow upwards smoothly. The large air dam present on the front bumper adds some muscle to the car, and also houses small and round LED fog lamps on its outer lower edges.
The side profile of the Toyota Prius+ looks unique with its sloping front bonnet design, which flows all the way towards the rear in a curved manner. The V-shaped rear quarter glass and large windows do create an impression that it is a long vehicle, amplified by its long wheelbase. The door-mounted rearview mirrors have been lifted off from the Prius sedan.
At the back, the Toyota Prius+ tries to project itself as a different car with the help of a slightly revised boot design, which also features clear lens LED tail lamps.
Toyota Prius Plus Ride & Handling
With Macpherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear, the Toyota Prius+ offers a smooth and supple ride quality which suits its MPV tag very much finely. The seats themselves are cushioned very well, with the 16-inch wheels offering a decent amount of stability too.
Prius Plus Engine & Fuel Consumption
Under the hood of the Toyota Prius+, one can find the 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired to a lithium-ion battery, with this whole thing shared with the Prius sedan. Here in the Prius+, this powertrain is coupled to a CVT gearbox and produces a maximum power output of 135 PS and a peak torque output of 142 Nm.
Toyota Prius Plus Braking & Safety
The Toyota Prius+ is equipped with all the essential safety equipment like the front, side, curtain and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill start assist, front, rear and corner parking sensors and reverse camera.
Prius Plus Verdict
The Toyota Prius offers a potent hybrid powertrain in a package of a compact MPV, which tries to project itself as a niche vehicle with distinctive styling as a cherry on top. However, while the overall styling might take some time to get used to, the engine is a great powertrain, to begin with, and the versatility offered by its seven seats only make things better.
