Serena e-Power is available in 4 different colors - Brilliant Silver , Brilliant White Pearl Super Black, Red Pearl Super Black and Sunrise Orange Super Black.
With the Serena, Nissan has showcased that a mass-market family oriented multi-purpose vehicle can be a leader in technology as well as luxurious in its approach too. The Nissan Serena is currently being offered in Singapore in a total of two different variants, Standard and Touring Edition, the latter of which comes with a few cosmetic add-ons.
With a single petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, the Nissan Serena can be had in five monotone color options of Brilliant Silver, Imperial Umber, Azure Blue, Cashmere Gold and Diamond Black and four dual tone color options of Brilliant White Pearl with Super Black, Sunrise Orange with Super Black, Red Pearl with Super Black and Dark Metal Grey with Super Black.
On the inside too, the Nissan Serena has been designed with the intent of breaking the norms and boredom people usually associate with the MPVs.
The dashboard looks outstanding with its multi-layered layout, with a very fine layer at the topmost portion of the dashboard housing a sleek curved panel for the all-digital instrument console in a horizontal manner. Between this layer of the instrument console and the multi-functional three-spoke steering wheel, there is a scooped portion to store some small knick-knacks – quite a unique feature, we must say.
The entire vertically laid center console is finished in a glossy black theme, which adds a nice contrast to the dual-tone black and beige cabin. While the upper portion of this center console has a nice looking touchscreen infotainment system, the lower portion of the center console, which is slightly tilted towards the driver side, has a small panel for the automatic climate control buttons and a short looking transmission lever.
Apart from the cleverly laid three-rows of seats which offer an immense amount of room, there are a number of other small storage parts, including cubby holes and door pockets, which make the Nissan Serena a hugely practical car. There is no dearth of features here in the cabin too, with the vehicle getting push-button start with keyless entry, Alcantara leather upholstery, captain seats in the second row with personal tables and rear AC vents with independent controls for them.
The Nissan Serena boasts of a very distinctive design language, which despite being boxy, doesn’t have that perception of a boring looking vehicle. However, no matter how unique it looks, the overall design of the Nissan Serena can be polarizing to look at for those who prefer conventional looks in an MPV.
The Nissan Serena has got a very busy looking front end, with the major highlight here being the large and wide trapezoidal grille with fragmented chrome garnish lines in it. The large sweptback trapezoidal headlamps, with their split layouts, look quite eye-catching, with their upper housing getting daytime running LEDs and the lower ones having the main LED headlamp setup. The blue highlights on the grille look cool and denote that it is a hybrid vehicle, whereas the C-shaped housings for the LED fog lamps make the front bumper aggressive as well.
From the side, the Nissan Serena can make you feel as if you are looking at a very large vehicle, courtesy the large window panels and big front quarter glass ahead of the A-pillar. The multi-kinked window waistline, as well as the smooth shoulder line from the front headlamp to the rear tail lamp, does look standout as well. The large rear windshield, as well as kinked design for the vertically laid clear lens, LED tail lamps makes the Nissan Serena look very large from the rear.
The Nissan Serena’s boxy design might not create a first impression of it being a comfortable vehicle. But thanks to the softly sprung suspension setup of Macpherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear, the Nissan Serena offers a very comfortable ride quality. The driving appeal is slightly toned down due to slight body roll at higher speeds.
The Nissan Serena is powered by a fantastic powertrain, which is a combination of a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a lithium-ion battery, which in combined mode produce 136 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. Coupled to a CVT gearbox, this engine feels smooth, but a bit underpowered at lower rpms.
The Nissan Serena is equipped with all the essential safety features onboard, like the front, side and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill start assist, traction control, front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera.
The Nissan Serena’s unique and extrovert design language is not something which is designed to please everyone, but it definitely commands a second glance. Talk about the comfort and premium appeal it offers on the inside, and the Nissan Serena scores generously on that front.
Practicality is at its forte when someone opts for an ideal family car like that of Nissan Serena. I cannot vouch with confidence on the fact that the car is offering heaps of fancy features, but then all the essential features are being aptly offered by this four-wheeler. Ingressing-outgressing gets simpler due to its sliding door system. Since I have
I needed a spacious car for my wife as she needed to take the kids to school every day, and our existing vehicle was just not meant for that job. Hence after thorough research online, I came across the Nissan Serena, which seemed more or less perfect as per my requirements. Therefore, we finally purchased this car a couple of
There were actually two main reasons why I opted for the Nissan Serena e-power. The foremost being its awesome appearance. The MUV shatters all the myths ever curated for spacious cars. Like, even I used to believe those big cars are just meant for comfort they have nothing else to offer. But not that I have tried my hands over
The main reason behind buying an MPV is its practicality and that’s where the Serena emerges as the champion. It is big, spacious, affordable and easy to maintain, and fuel efficient. What more do you want from an MPV? Well, it’ll be unfair to compare this vehicle to the other luxury options in this segment, but the Serena never lets
I have always preferred MPVs and vans over hatchbacks or sedans because they offer more utility. My experience with a passenger has been amazing and since I have a family of 7, I just cannot think of any other segment car. So I bought this Nissan Serena and guess what, it has matched my expectations. It is not just attractive
This MPV is something, that every family man needs, to comfortably accommodate their family. We all know that when you look after family comfort you have to sacrifices few other things in the car. But this car doesn't let you sacrifice any of your needs. The unique design of this MPV can allure anyone, at any given point in time.
Having a family of eight members, a Spacious car with modern looks and standard safety features is all I was looking for. The design of Nissan Serena breaks all the norms and boredom that people usually associate with the MPVs. Nissan Serena is not a car that would please everyone, but it demands a second look over it. The engine
The perfect hybrid MPV in its class and is the best one available in its segment and the market of Singapore. I am driving the Serena-e-powered vehicle since last year and I think it is the perfect balance and package of luxury and space. The fuel economy is impressive and saves a lot of money that generally gets wasted in
The Nissan Serena is a really great hybrid MPV available in the Singapore car market and it is clearly one in its class. I own the Serene e-Power Hybrid for almost a year and I feel the vehicle is a really balanced and practical package with the key highlights being luxurious and spacious interiors, decent exterior styling, and its impressive
Nissan is said to be the creator of powerful cars, and the new Serena is the primal example of the same. It is an electric MPV, which has definitely saved my bank balance by a huge amount. The electric batter present in the car produces an output power of 100KW and torque of 320 Nm, which I think is good
