Hiace Van is available in 5 different colors - Dark Blue Mica Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, Yellow, Silver Metallic and White Metallic.
The Toyota Hiace has created quite a stature for itself in the passenger van segment, with its legendary reliability and brilliant space management on offer. Retaining the same attributes minus the seating capacity, Toyota has used the same platform for a commercial van which is aimed at load carriers. The Toyota Hiace Van is being offered in four different variants – standard roof manual, standard roof automatic, high roof manual, and high roof automatic, with five colour options on offer, namely White, Silver Mica, Light Yellow, Deep Red Mica, and Dark Blue Mica.
The cabin of the Toyota Hiace Van has been completely lifted off from the passenger version of the vehicle. The cabin, however, has been eradicated with many features to make things look bare basic and functional.
The four-spoke large steering wheel as well as a simple instrument console behind it makeup for a dated looking driver’s cockpit. The rest of the dashboard too looks quite drab, with a rectangular theme carried out for the provision of the music system in the centre console, AC vents, AC control panel, and dash-mounted gear lever.
The cabin has a seating layout for two passengers, and behind that, you get a large cargo bay, which only gets better in the high roof version with additional height available in it.
While the passenger version of the Toyota Hiace has been revamped completely with an all-new generation styling, the Hiace Van continues to be based on the previous generation Hiace. This makes it appear dated and basic, as the original styling is now almost a decade old.
However, the Toyota Hiace Van tries to impress one with its laid back design and large dimensions. Starting from the front, the Hiace Van gets a very large and slightly steeply raked front windscreen, which gets a vertical front hood styling. The tapered design between the windshield and the grille adds some character to the otherwise bland front look.
The two slat grille with heavy silver surrounds and block-shaped simple halogen headlamps with tapered inner edges form a majority of the front fascia of the Hiace Van. The front bumper is finished in an all-black theme, with heavy cladding below the headlamps.
The Toyota Hiace Van looks quite long and huge from the sides, thanks to the long body design of the van. The window panels here have been fully covered, given its commercial roots. The black door handles and simple wheel caps have been fitted to keep costs in check.
At the back too, the rear hatch has been made devoid of the windshield and is fully covered, with the vertically laid tail lamps and a license plate holder being the only design highlights here.
To minimise the costs and make it feel rugged and solid for a commercial vehicle, the Toyota Hiace Van is armed with double-wishbone at the front and lead springs at the rear. The ride quality has gone for a toss with stiffly sprung suspension setup and body roll, but it is unshakable on bad roads, even in heavy load conditions.
The Toyota Hiace Van sources its thrust from a 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which is available with both the transmission options of a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearboxes. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 143 PS and a maximum torque output of 300 Nm.
The Toyota Hiace Van is not as rich as other Toyotas when it comes to safety equipment, with the vehicle getting only the bare basic essentials of dual front airbags, ABS, and rear parking sensors.
The Toyota Hiace Van looks and feels as basic aa it could, both from outside as well as inside. However, all the compromises made on the front of visual appeal have been neutralised in the practical aspects of the vehicle, like load carrying capacity, reliable and torquey engine, and solid suspension setup. On all these fronts, the Toyota Hiace Van feels rock-solid and hugely practical.
When I first had a glimpse of the van, this looked like any other ordinary van to me. Though in actuality the model has gone through quite a few modifications as far as its looks are concerned. The lines are way edgier and the engine has moved to its usual place instead of occupying space beneath the passenger seat. All
The Hiace is a splendid vehicle that works flawlessly as a people mover. I would like to tell you that if you are looking for a premium van, then you might be disappointed with the Hiace because it lacks luxury. However, if you are more inclined towards the practicality element of a van, then the Hiace is the best in
I always suggest my friends that if someone wants to extract the best out of their van they should be very cautious while selecting the model. So, I did and ended up buying a Toyota hiace-van. This workhorse impressed me to the hilt with its simple yet rugged characteristics. Do not expect anything hi-fi or fancy out of this commercial
To begin with, I just have to get it out of my system that the ride quality offered by the Toyota Hiace-Van is genuinely remarkable. In fact, this is not something that one would expect from a van. This smooth drive is equipped with a turbocharged 2.8-litre engine that makes little to no noise while offering much satisfactory performance both
The Toyota Hiace Van has been the latest addition to our office vehicles. Running an organization, you understand that you can’t always rely on public transportations. In my opinion, the Hiace Van is a wonderful accommodating vehicle, spreading equally spacious areas throughout the cabin from the front to the rear. Besides that, the comfort level of the upholstery is also
The Toyota HiAce van has a great ride quality. This came as a surprise as I wasn’t expecting this from a van. The turbocharged 2.8-liter engine does produce a bit of noise and it can be heard in the cabin, but the powertrain itself is a smooth performer. The vehicle comes with impressive safety features. The dashboard is tastefully done
I run a transport business and have recently ventured into cargo shipping. I was looking for an able van and that’s when I zeroed down on the HiAce van. This van has huge space and I can easily load my cargo. The driver’s cabin is comfortable and the HiAce handles almost like a sedan. It has a 70-liter fuel capacity
I own a small business related to grocery delivery. I was looking for a car that could be the perfect fit for this. Initially I used a pickup truck to deliver groceries across the city, but then came across this Hiace van. Honestly, this Hiace van gave me many opportunities to try different horizons in the delivery business. I have
Toyota Hiace van focuses on more utility and reliability than styling and outer looks. I was looking for a van that could be used, for both my commercial and personal needs. To be very honest, I wasn't expecting this van to work so efficiently as I was judging it by its outer looks. But after I drove the van, I
Toyota is in this business for over decades now and there is no comparison of Toyota automobiles with other companies in the same business. Toyota Hiace is particularly said to be a bit pricey but I feel that it is not at all pricey, if you compare it to what it offers. Toyota Hiace is a well-rounded commuter. If you
