Started as a lifestyle vehicle, the Mercede-Benz GLC Coupe is for those who want the ruggedness of an SUV and road presence of a coupe, without splurging out much money as people do for authentic coupes. The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is being offered in Singapore in two different variants – GLC 250 and GLC 300.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Interior & Features
As expected, the entire cabin of the Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe is exactly the same as that of the GLC SUV. While it doesn’t get the latest of the interior layout as seen on other Mercedes-Benz offerings, it still looks as suave as it should, without feeling dated at all.
The driver’s cockpit here in the GLC Coupe gets a pod-like theme for the fully digital TFT instrument console and a good to hold a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, the latter of which gets silver touches for the spokes and buttons here. The center console of the cabin here gets a wide touchscreen infotainment system with rounded edges and a large curvy console flowing downwards, getting buttons for automatic climate control and three round AC vents just at the top. The wraparound theme for the dashboard looks premium, thanks to silver touches on the dashboard and AC vents on the corner.
GLC Coupe Exterior
Going by the name, one can easily guess that the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is based on its SUV counterpart, the GLC Class. Much of the styling of the GLC Coupe has been shared with that of the GLC Class, especially the front.
At the front, the Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe gets the same fascia as that of the GLC Class, which comprises of a large and wide grille with curved edges, tapering out edges, and curved out lower line. The diamond-studded theme for the front grille and all-LED headlamps with extended C-shaped daytime running LEDs make the front of the Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe look even more captivating.
It is from the sides where the Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe starts differentiating itself from the GLC SUV much. The design till the B-pillar is more or less the same, however, the sloping down roofline like in a coupe, makes it look much more dramatic. The heightened stance and sharp character line flowing sideways add some aggression to the design. The thin side molding running through the side profile makes it look a bit rugged.
The rear profile of the Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe is entirely different from that of the GLC SUV. The sharply raked down windscreen, horizontally wide LED tail lamps, thick molding at the bottom of the bumper, and dual exhaust port design makes it look very attractive.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Ride & Handling
Despite its compact impressions, the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe feels rugged over tough terrains, thanks to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive offered as standard. The space at the back can be a deterrent for the comfort of tall passengers due to limited headroom, which otherwise is a great place to be in, only backed by a comfortable ride quality.
GLC Coupe Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe can be had with one of two engine options on offer. The GLC 250 gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 210 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the GLC 300 is blessed with the same engine in a higher state of tune – 258 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque. In both variants, a 9-speed automatic gearbox is common.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Braking & Safety
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe gets an impressive list of safety features, which includes front, side, overhead, and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, blind-spot monitoring system, electronic stability control, automatic emergency braking, active distance assist, lane departure warning, attention assist, lane-keeping assist.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is not an all show and no go over rough terrains as most of the pseudo SUVs, as its rugged chassis and heightened stance does make it a capable vehicle. Adding to it, the visual drama of a coupe, thanks to its sloping roofline, only makes things look good every time.
