Powering the smart #1 is an electric motor that is capable of producing 272PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 343 Nm. The rear-wheel-driven SUV can sprint from 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds before topping out at 180kmph. The electric motor on the smart #1 gets its juice from a lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) battery, which has a capacity of 66kWh. The Pro+ and the Premium trims offer a single-charge range of 535km and 560km, respectively.

A 150kW DC charger can achieve the same feat in a mere 30 minutes. Moreover, a Brabus-branded version of the #1, which will also flaunt a dual-motor setup, will further extend the electric SUV’s lineup.
