Hyundai teamed up with Marvel heroes for the all-new Tucson campaign

Tie-in advertising campaigns between automakers and movie studios are nothing new, we’ve always been around the brand. Considering the same, automakers and Disney DIS are also no strangers at creating synergy. Well, we’ve now come across a new tie-up between Hyundai and all-time favorite Marvel superheroes. 

The two brands have collaborated to get some eyeballs on the next-gen Hyundai Tucson that made its official debut in September 2020. The promo campaign holds some of Marvel’s favorite superheroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Disney+ series, pushing sales for the fourth-gen SUV.

Talking of the star cast in the short advertisement, it features Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Sam Wilson as Captain America (Anthony Mackie), and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olson). All these stars will now make their appearance in their characters, starring in a series of ads that are expected to run across OTT platforms, TV spots, and social media that will all strategically promote the new Hyundai Tucson crossover. 

There will also be a net set of creatives from the upcoming Disney+ series, titled What If…?. The upcoming show is going to be Marvel’s first animated series, expected to join the campaign this upcoming summer. 

The ads that were developed and produced by Marvel Studios, are said to be displayed at Hyundai’s Canvas Worldwide media agency and its INNOCEAN USA advertising agency.

Well, this isn’t Hyundai’s first collaboration with Marvel. Back in 2017, the company collaborated with the character Iron Man to create a Kona crossover theme. Lastly, with the 2022 model coming right up, we’re all excited with the new looks inside and out, the hybrid powertrain, and the coolest tech updates.

Earlier this year, the Studio had teamed up with Chevy to promote the 2022 Bolt EUV, picking up characters within the Disney Parks. Previously, a similar stunt was seen in 2015 when Disney partnered with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to collaborate with the world of Star Wars for their end-of-year sales.
