The Hyundai Ioniq Electric feels even more technologically superior and futuristic from the inside, and is easily the most advanced cabin ever seen in a Hyundai, as far as layout is concerned.

The driver’s cockpit welcomes you with a sporty looking flat bottomed multi-functional steering wheel as well as a 7-inch supervision display screen behind it, which acts as an instrument console.

The soft-touch theme for the dashboard feels premium, whereas the free mounted touchscreen infotainment system at the center goes well with the current trend. There is an inclined panel just below the touchscreen system, which acts as a control panel for the dual-zone automatic climate control buttons.

Like in all the electric vehicles, the grille is entirely finished and covered, here completely in a greyish theme. The all-LED headlamps positioned to the sides of its upper edges do get extending portions of the grille below them. The trapezoidal housing for the three slat design for the daytime running LEDs is a nice touch too.

The side profile of the Hyundai Ioniq Electric shows its unconventional design only post the C-pillar, where the car has an upraised stance for the boot release lid. This is something which is there in many other premium fastbacks and makes the Ioniq Electric look heightened from the rear. 

At the rear, the Hyundai Ioniq Electric has a roofline that steeply inclines to the edge of the boot lid, which here is positioned quite higher here. The edge of the boot lid where the roofline ends up has an integrated boot spoiler, which extends over the curved styled LED tail lamps as well.

While the Hyundai Ioniq Electric is pitched as a five-seater car, there is enough room for at most four passengers with ease. The car is armed with Macpherson struts at the front and torsion beam axle at the rear. Equipped with disc brake on all four wheels, the Hyundai Ioniq Electric feels smooth, calm, and comfortable overall sections of roads.

The all-electric Hyundai Ioniq misses out a fossil fuel-powered conventional engine, and rather comes with a fully electric 38.3 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery for its power source. This powertrain has a single-speed reduction gear as its transmission and produces a maximum power output of 135 PS and a peak torque output of 295 Nm. The engine welcomes you with a sudden surge of torque whenever you press the accelerator.

The Hyundai Ioniq Electric gets a comprehensive safety equipment list, which has some noteworthy additions like the front, side, curtain, and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electric parking brake, lane keep assist, blind-spot collision warning and forward collision warning.
