To me, the Toyota Fortuner is the king of all full-sized SUVs. Its spacious cabin can accommodate 7 passengers with ease and there will still be much legroom left. The interior feels more like a sedan. The Fortuner is a supremely safe car having got 5 stars from the Asean NCAP for improved structural strength and enhanced safety features. It has the same 2.4-liter diesel engine which powers the Hilux. Most SUV buyers don’t use their cars for off-road driving. But the Toyota, even without a 4x4, can tread all surfaces with ease. Acceleration is smooth and throttle response is good.
