The sculptured LED headlamps come with BMW laser light, while the front bumper gets specific design elements in Chrome high-gloss. The air intake beneath the front bumper is split into three segments. At the rear, the horizontal contour line beneath the boot lid is very confidently defined and extends into the body's flanks, accentuating the vehicle width. One can spot the trapezoid exhaust pipes on both sides at the rear. New paint schemes include Phytonic Blue metallic, Piedmont Red metallic, Bernina Grey Amber effect, and Portimao Blue metallic finish (only on M Sport package).

This power is relayed to the wheels through an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with gearshift paddles. Coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system, the engine provides reduced fuel consumption while boosting performance. The Gran Turismo can clock a top speed of 250 kmph and completes the century sprint in just 6.5 seconds. BMW claims that the fast coupe gulps 6.1-litre of fuel to complete a 100 km run.

De-accelerating the BMW Gran Turismo are four-piston fixed caliper discs at the front and single-piston floating caliper discs at the rear. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and brake assist further enhance the safety quotient by strengthening the braking system. Other safety features include six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control, Hill Descent Control, departure warning, lane change warning, front collision warning with brake intervention, crossing traffic warning, and rear collision prevention.
