One of the most underrated full-size luxury sedans available in the world, the Volvo S90 is right up in the game with its German arch-rivals in the aspects of luxury and premium appeal. The Volvo S90 is being made available in Singapore with a single petrol automatic powertrain which is there in two states of tune.

Volvo S90 Interior & Features
The Volvo S90 looks extremely posh and luxurious on the inside, thanks to the use of the best all-black Nappa leather upholstery with contrasting tan coloured tone finish in the form of leather too. However, the cabin could have felt more special, had it not been shared completely with the lower-priced Volvos in terms of design and layout.
The elements like the multifunctional steering wheel with a rounded squared centre boss, full TFT instrument console, and the portrait style touchscreen infotainment system are something which have become a common norm in all the Volvo offerings. The cabin does get oodles of space and features, the prominent ones of which include heated and ventilated seats, four-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, Bowers and Wilkins audio system.
Volvo S90 Exterior
‘Understated’ is the word for the overall design of the Volvo S90 – it looks very elegant and classy, with a touch of simplicity throughout its design from front to rear, making it look subtle and less flashy.
The front look of the Volvo S90 has the centre of attraction in the form of the large and wide rounded rectangular grille with tapered edges below and vertical slats within. The headlamps are shaped in the form of a pentagon, and like in all the other Volvo cars, they too get all-LED treatment with Thor’s hammer-shaped daytime running LEDs in between of them. The front bumper looks beefy yet sharp, thanks to the sleek LED fog lamps sitting below the large air dams on the corners of the bumper, which do get chrome accents on their lower edges.
The side profile of the Volvo S90 looks very proportionate and not so curvy. The simply styled door panels and alloy wheels with rounded wheel arches, along with a flowing character line throughout sideways just below the window panels make it look very simple and elegant.
At the rear too, the Volvo S90 has been kept quite simple with C-shaped LED tail lamps with angular edges and a clean design for the boot lid, with a coupled of sharp lines flowing across the width of the boot.
Volvo S90 Ride & Handling
Being a flagship full-sized sedan, comfort and ride quality have been given top priorities in the Volvo S90, and that have been achieved in a well-accomplished manner here. The sedan gets electronic stability control and trailer stability assist, along with drive modes and active chassis with rear air suspension, which make the ride quality as well as handling very good.
Volvo S90 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Volvo S90 is available with just one petrol-powered powertrain, which however is being offered in two states of tune. The lower-spec T5 version churns out 253 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque, while the more powerful T6 version makes 318 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. In both cases, the engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
